1984 Volkswagen Vanagon Camper

They have stood the test of time and remained popular. We have offered some very nice examples of the VW Vanagon and campers over the years. This 1984 Westfalia is definitely a favorite. It is a stock, original, low mileage, one owner vehicle that was always garaged - all of which contribute to the excellent condition. There are a few dings and blemishes as you would expect, but the paint is original and in good shape. Where this VW really shines is inside. The interior is clean, original, not faded and shows almost no wear. The seats are bright, clean and firm. We attribute the interior's survival to the owner's diligence in keeping it clean as well as being stored inside with cling tint on the windows and the curtains closed. All of the loose items are present - extra keys, owner's manual, jack, cushions, curtains, tables & legs, power cord etc. The only non stock item on this vehicle is the modern stereo. We tested the refrigerator and it works on 110v. The stove also works. The propane system has not been updated. The sink does not work, we believe due to a faulty pump. Everything else in this van works properly. The van was in running condition when it arrived, but we have also serviced it and cleaned it thoroughly in preparation for sale. This included an oil change, brake fluid flush, fuel tank reseal, new General Grabber 27x8.5 R14 AT tires, coolant tank & sensors, spark plugs & wires, distributor cap & rotor, air filter, fuel filter, wiper blades, front heater blower motor and pop-top skylight. The van runs and drives well. The engine is still strong, having been replaced at 90k miles. This VW is super solid, not rusty and is in amazing condition considering it is from rural Pennsylvania. Yes, we have photos underneath to share if requested. We can't express just how nice this Westfalia is. We realize that many of the Vanagon campers have been updated, modernized, modified, customized etc. and that some buyers are looking for that sort of van. But for the buyer who wants one that's stock/original/how it came, this is it! Even for the buyer who wants to make it their own, at least there's nothing to "undo."
