The first generation Tacomas are simply excellent trucks. They are durable, reliable, long lasting vehicles that are highly desirable. They hold their value well and have been going up in value as the availability for decent examples decreases. They are arguably much better looking than the newer versions and many aspects are higher quality, especially the interiors. We are always hunting for these trucks as well as 3rd generation 4Runners. Normally we offer our Toyotas fully reconditioned, which is reflected in our prices. Occasionally we get complaints from customers who would have preferred to pay less for a truck that's less perfect. For those folks, here's the chance. This Tacoma Double Cab PreRunner is a great running/driving truck that is solid, rust free, in good working order and clean inside. But it obviously has fading paint, which is why we have priced it low. This truck was originally in Arizona which is probably why it's fading but also why the chassis is so solid. It is in original/stock condition with the exception of the modern Pioneer BT radio, the Leer top and spray-in bed liner all of which are nice additions. The top adds a lot of functionality, especially for taking trips and also has a roof rack, ideal for kayaks/canoes. But the top also comes off easily if you need an open bed. The trim level for this Tacoma is SR5 and it does have the optional locking rear differential which is helpful in low traction situations. This truck has been regularly serviced by it's current owner. The oil has just been changed, the inspection is current and the tires have less than 5k miles on them.
